Galveston County (Galveston, Texas) is planning a new mental health crisis center in La Marque, Texas, according to the website click2houston.com.
The $8 million project will house 10 extended observation unit beds (up to 72 hours) and 10 designated respite beds.
The project team includes Huitt-Zollars (architect and construction manager; Alexandria, Va.).
The mental health center is slated to open in 2024.
