Providence Health Care (Vancouver, B.C.) is planning a replacement hospital for St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.
The 2 million-square-foot project will offer surgical and interventional, outpatient, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services as well as community care and outreach programs. The facility will house a new emergency department (ED), critical care unit, maternal newborn unit and birthing suites, and a 1,170-space parking structure. Public spaces, such as parks and plazas, will integrate the facility with the community.
The project team includes HDR (architect; Vancouver), Stantec (engineer; Vancouver), and PCL Construction (general contractor; Vancouver).
The project is slated completion in 2026.
