Huntsville Hospital (Huntsville, Ala.) is adding an Orthopedic and Spine Tower, which is slated open in summer 2021, according to an article in WAFF48.
The seven-story, 375,000-square-foot tower will feature 72 private patient rooms and 24 operating rooms for inpatient and outpatient procedures, including spine surgeries.
As part of the project, a 50-ton, 80-foot-long climate-controlled pedestrian bridge is under construction to allow hospital staff, patients, and visitors to move easily between the hospital and tower.
