UCI Health (Orange, Calif.) and Lifepoint Rehabilitation (Brentwood, Tenn.), a division of Lifepoint Health, broke ground on UCI Health Rehabilitation Hospital, in Irvine, Calif.
The 68,000-square-foot, two-story rehabilitation hospital will house 52 beds, a specialized acquired brain injury unit, dialysis suite, radiology imaging suite, multidisciplinary therapy gymnasiums, and outdoor courtyards.
Services will include acute inpatient rehabilitation care for stroke, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, and amputation.
The hospital will is expected to open in 2025.
