Aspirus Health (Wausau, Wis.) is planning a $30 million renovation and expansion project at its Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, Mich., according to the website uppermichiganssource.com.
The project will include modernizing the hospital’s infrastructure and inpatient rooms.
Along with the upgrades at the Keweenaw Hospital, the nonprofit health system will transition its Ontonagon, Mich., hospital into a rural health clinic and replace its hospital and emergency services with outpatient-only services.
