Altru Health System Tops Off New Hospital Project In North Dakota

Altru Health System (Grand Forks, N.D.) celebrated the topping off of a new hospital in Grand Forks, according to the website inforum.com.

The hospital project comprises seven floors, 226 inpatient beds, a 16-bed observation unit, negative pressure unit, private neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), private pre/post-operative rooms, operating rooms, dedicated trauma operating room, and trauma elevator for quick transport.

The $470 million project was paused for about 18 months in 2020 amid challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic and re-started in September 2021.

Minneapolis-based JLG Architects is serving as principal architect on the project, which is scheduled for completion in fall 2024.
