Sanford Health (Sioux Falls, S.D.) has started construction on a 60,000-square-foot virtual care center in Sioux Falls.
The Sanford Virtual Care Center will serve as a hub for a network of virtual clinics and telehealth services for on-demand urgent, behavioral health, and primary care services.
The building will also house innovation, education, and research initiatives to advance digital healthcare and workforce solutions for the future.
The project is being funded through a $350 million donation from hospital system namesake Denny Sanford.
Construction is scheduled to begin immediately and the project is expected to open in 2024.
