Advocate Aurora Health (Milwaukee and Downers Grove, Ill.) is expanding its existing Fond du Lac health center in Fond du Lac, Wis., into a hospital with a 70,000-square-foot addition, [this lead wasn’t clear so I edited it based on the news article] according to an article in fox11online.com.
The new facility, to be called Aurora Medical Center – Fond du Lac, will comprise 185,000 square feet when completed and include 10 new patient beds and an eight-bay emergency department.
Construction on the project is expected to begin this month. The project was originally announced in 2020, but was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh (Wis.) will partner with the hospital to provide some services.
