RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group (Somerset, N.J.) broke ground on a new medical center in Toms River, N.J., according to an article in jerseyshoreonline.com.
The 86,000-square-foot, three-story project will be shared with Children’s Specialized Hospital (CSH; New Brunswick, N.J.) and Community Medical Center (CMC; Toms River, N.J.), both RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group facilities.
CMC will occupy 37,594 square feet with a variety of outpatient services, such as imaging, ambulatory surgery, pre-admission testing, and physical and occupational therapy, while CSH will occupy 48,406 square feet for developmental and behavioral pediatrics, neurology, physical medicine, rehabilitation, psychiatry and psychology, and occupational, physical, and speech therapy services.
RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group’s primary care and orthopedic physicians will also have on-site offices, according to an article in roi-nj.com.
The project is scheduled for completion in early 2023.
