Northwestern Memorial Hospital is expanding its cardiac care capacity with the addition of the Northwestern Medicine Bluhm Heart Hospital at its campus in Chicago.
The facility will house 141 beds. Additionally, the hospital plans to collaborate with community partners to develop outreach and education efforts to support heart health and address the social determinants of health.
The hospital received a $45 million gift from Chicago philanthropist Neil G. Bluhm and the Bluhm Family Charitable Foundation for the project.
