Mayo Clinic Health System (Rochester, Minn.) is building a new replacement hospital in La Crosse, Wis., according to an article in weau.com.
The 70-bed facility will include six floors, including a surgical and procedural floor; 30 percent larger patient rooms; cardiac catheterization labs and interventional radiology; endoscopy suites; intensive care unit; and a new family birth center.
The healthcare organization is also expanding its Mankato, Minn., hospital with a three-floor vertical expansion atop the emergency room, a cancer center, and specialty clinic.
The two hospitals will cost approximately $353 million, according to the article. Construction is scheduled to begin this spring at both locations and is expected to be completed in 2024.
