South Shore University Hospital (Bay Shore, N.Y.) has completed the first phase of its $71 million Women and Infants Center, according to an article in Newsday.
The project includes four obstetrical-triage beds and 11 postpartum suites with private bathrooms, LCD flat-screen televisions, and recliners and sofas that convert to pullout beds for guests. Additional postpartum suites are scheduled to open by mid-2022.
Completion of the 45,560-square-foot, two-story Women and Infants Center is expected by the end of 2023. The center will have its own private entrance at South Shore University Hospital.
