Nonprofit health system Virtua Health (Marlton, N.J.) plans to invest in major renovations and service enhancements at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, N.J., and Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, N.J.
Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes, which offers advanced tertiary care such as cardiovascular and neuroscience services, will be updated into a regional destination for high-acuity cardiovascular, neuroscience, and transplant services. Plans call for adding private patient rooms and making the campus more accessible through a new main lobby and expanded parking.
Virtua Memorial Hospital will be renovated into a hub for interventional procedures and surgeries, maternity services, and acute care. Ten new operating rooms, labs, and medical suites, an expanded emergency department, and renovated hospital units are in the works. Additionally, the hospital will be renamed Virtua Mount Holly Hospital to align with Virtua’s other location-based acute care facilities.
