The SLAM Collaborative (SLAM; Glastonbury, Conn.) and Doylestown Health have completed Phase 3 of a new $54 million cardiovascular and critical care pavilion at Doylestown Hospital in Philadelphia.
Opened in April, the 100,000-square-foot, three-story project includes a new 32-bed intensive/intermediate care unit (ICU/IMU) on the pavilion’s third floor with private universal rooms designed to flex between intensive care and step-down care needs. The unit is organized into pods of eight patient rooms. Family amenities include respite rooms and a family comfort room with large floor-to-ceiling windows at the end of the unit.
The final phases of the pavilion project will include an outpatient cardiac services suite with a cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation gym and preadmissions and cardiac diagnostic testing.
