A new healthcare and affordable housing campus has broken ground in Santa Cruz’s Live Oak neighborhood in Santa Cruz, Calif.
The six-building project will combine medical and dental clinics with multifamily dwellings to bring new services and housing to the area. The project’s first phase includes a 20,000-square-foot medical clinic operated by Santa Cruz Community Health (Santa Cruz) and a Dientes Community Dental Care (Santa Cruz) clinic, which are slated to open in 2022.
The project team comprises Wald, Ruhnke & Dost Architects (architect; Monterey, Calif.), Bogard Construction (general contractor and construction manager; Santa Cruz), Blue Water Construction (construction manager), and MidPen Housing (developer; Foster City, Calif.).
