Fleet Financial Group (New York, N.Y.), an urban development and real estate asset management company, is bringing a new medical center to Flushing, N.Y.
The 104,000-square-foot medical center is located in the same 18-story building as the Eastern Mirage hotel, developed by Fleet Financial, which will offer patients a place to stay and recover from their appointments and procedures.
Design features of the medical center will include a five-layer glass curtain wall for enhanced sound insulation and natural light, high ceilings, environmentally friendly materials, and Turkish marble floors. The building will also have more than 34,000 square feet of outdoor space, including an all-glass roof terrace featuring 360-degree panoramic views of New York City, and more than 300 underground parking spots.
The hotel and medical center are scheduled to open later this year.
