Mercy Health And UHS Plan Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital In Michigan

Mercy Health (Grand Rapids, Mich.), part of Trinity Health (Livonia, Mich.), and Universal Health Services (UHS; King of Prussia, Pa.) are planning a new 60-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital in Kent County, Mich.

The new facility will be situated near the Mercy Health Southwest Campus and include space for 24 additional inpatient beds for geriatric psychiatric patients as well as future expansion.

Construction on the project is slated to begin in 2021 and the project is expected to open is spring 2023.
