Hartford Healthcare (Hartford, Conn.), the state of Connecticut, and the Connecticut National Guard are planning to rebuild a COVID-19 alternate care site at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, according to an article in Fox 61.
Plans call for the site to mirror the 600-bed model that was initially set up in April 2020.
Hartford Healthcare will operate the care site while also maintaining a drive-through COVID-19 testing center in the convention center’s parking lot.
