Colorado Coalition for the Homeless Plans Recuperative Care Facility in Colorado

Nonprofit group Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is planning a nine-story project across the street from its Stout Street Health Center in Denver, according to an article in BusinessDen.

The project will include a 75-bed recuperative care facility on the second and third floor for homeless patients who cannot safely be discharged from the health center to the streets or a shelter because they require ongoing care. The second floor of the building will have 50 beds intended for individuals staying 30 to 45 days, while 25 beds on the third floor will be for those requiring stays longer than 45 days.

Situated on 0.43 acres, the project will also include 98 income-restricted apartments on the fourth through ninth floors. Groundbreaking is slated to take place at the end of 2020 and is expected to take 18 months to build.
