As part of a $500 million plan to create a national model healthcare system for children, Intermountain Healthcare plans to build a second Primary Children’s Hospital campus in Lehi, Utah. The first Primary Children’s Hospital is in Salt Lake City.
Situated on 38 acres, the new 468,000-square-foot hospital will feature five floors, 66 beds, and a three-story medical office building.
Services will include pediatric specialty trauma and emergency; pediatric and newborn intensive care units; a medical and surgical unit; operating rooms; inpatient and outpatient behavioral and mental health; Safe and Healthy Families clinic; sleep medicine; infusion; rehabilitation; specialty outpatient clinics; laboratory; and imaging.
Construction is slated to begin in 2020 and the hospital is scheduled to open in 2023.
