AIA Accepting Information For Database On COVID-19 Design Efforts

As more healthcare providers and organizations look for quick ideas and options for responding to the surge in volume and the special needs of COVID-19 patient populations, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) is compiling an online database of ongoing projects and resources to connect to similar efforts nationally regarding the pandemic.

AIA members and non-members are invited to share information regarding organizations’ design actions by filling out a survey here. The information requested focuses on a short narrative of the project, location, and type of construction. Methods are provided to hide project client and submitter identity if desired.

The searchable database will be in the public domain through the AIA KnowledgeNet website and includes interactive graphics that allow users to search for information about projects and initiatives that have been reported.
