Former EYP Principal Betsy Beaman Launches Goat Design

Betsy Beaman, who resigned from her position as studio design principal at Stanley Beaman & Sears/EYP Architecture & Engineering (Atlanta) this past February, is planning to start her own firm, Goat Design located in Atlanta, and also Hilton Head Island, S.C. While details about the firm are still being developed, Beaman plans to focus on a variety of design sectors, including high-end contemporary residential, healthcare, higher education, and the arts.

Beaman’s career began in 1992 when she and fellow architects Kimberly Stanley and Burn Sears founded Stanley, Beaman & Sears in Atlanta. Beaman served as director of design, working on projects such as Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Fla., and Children’s Medical Center at Augusta University in Augusta, Ga.

In 2016, the partners sold Stanley Beaman and Sears to EYP, where Beaman helped develop EYP’s Atlanta office.
