Erickson Living (Catonsville, Md.) has broken ground on an expansion at its Maris Grove continuing care retirement community in Glen Mills, Pa.
The three-story, 76,000-square-foot addition, designed by architectural firm SFCS (Blue Bell, Pa.), will be named Evergreen Pointe and will feature 84 assisted living units, ranging in size from studios to one- and two-bedroom styles. Each unit will include a private, full bathroom and a kitchenette, while some will feature patios leading to an enclosed courtyard. Common areas will include a living room, media room, creative arts studio, family kitchen, dining venue, games lounge, library nook, and fitness room.
The new community will be adjacent to Rose Court, an existing CCRC, which will be renovated to include a dedicated memory care neighborhood and redesigned lobby and bistro.
Construction of Evergreen Pointe is estimated to take 18 months.
