Memorial Hospital will expand its surgery services with a $25 million, 10,000-square-foot addition to its main campus on University Boulevard in Jacksonville, Fla. According to an article in the Jacksonville Daily Record, the building will add five operating rooms, plus two for cardiovascular procedures.
Reporter Katie Garwood writes: “There will be five surgery recovery areas in the building. There also will be space for a new locker room and lounge for surgeons and staff…With some surgical operations moving into the expansion, Memorial will have space to designate an existing operating room as a robotic surgical suite.”
